Presented by the Honorable Fran P Mainella
Former USA National Park Director; Visiting Scholar Clemson University; Co- Chair US Play Coalition
The Former Director of the USA National Parks and currently Co-chair of the US Play Coalition shares what she has found to be a key to success for Cities and Nations- The Value of Play. To enhance the quality of life in communities, play must be a value in place for development of creativity, imagination and decision– making by residents. The design of buildings, parks, homes and must encourage the opportunity for outdoor play. The greening of a city is critical for play development. Play has been labeled as wasteful by some but this session will help show that as we address the Play Deprivation Crisis that exists worldwide, we will also increase the overall well-being for all.
